About the Role

We’re hiring a full-time AVL Technician to support both our warehouse operations and on-site installations. You’ll help build and test gear at our Melbourne, FL headquarters and travel with our integration team to churches around the U.S. for AVL system installs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and seeing a system come to life—from the shop bench to the sanctuary.

This role requires travel 10–15 days per month.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Organize, label, and manage AVL equipment inventory

  • Assemble and test audio, video, and lighting systems prior to deployment

  • Maintain a clean, efficient, and safety-compliant warehouse environment

  • Support shipping/receiving, inventory tracking, and staging for upcoming projects

  • Coordinate with project managers to prepare equipment and logistics for installs

  • Identify ways to improve warehouse systems and workflows

On-Site Installations

  • Deploy Churchfront-designed AVL systems across the U.S. (audio, video, lighting)

  • Build equipment racks, terminate cables, mount speakers, displays, lighting, etc.

  • Perform basic rigging with proper safety practices (unistrut, gripples, safety cabling)

  • Troubleshoot and test installed systems for full functionality

  • Communicate with church clients professionally and provide basic technical training

  • Document installations with photos and labeling for future reference

  • Ensure projects are completed to Churchfront’s high standards, on time and on budget

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in AVL installation or live production systems (audio, video, and/or lighting)

  • Strong understanding of cable management, terminations, rack building, and system testing

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Able to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs)

  • Comfortable working at height using ladders or lifts

  • Willing to travel 10–15 days per month for installation projects

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Based in or willing to relocate to Melbourne, FL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience serving in or supporting houses of worship

  • Certifications (CTS, Dante, Q-SYS, Crestron, etc.)

  • Familiarity with tools and platforms such as Dante, ProPresenter, Blackmagic, Resi, etc.

  • Experience with unistrut and basic rigging hardware

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an AV-related field
