Faith Covenant Church in Scottsboro, Alabama has transformed their worship space from a modest 200-seat facility into an impressive 500-seat modern sanctuary. The renovation combines cutting-edge technology with thoughtful design to serve their growing congregation.
The project, led by Churchfront’s installation team under Adam Beranek and Jake Gosselin, began before walls were even constructed, allowing for optimal planning and integration.
Audio Excellence
The heart of the system features dual 18″ subwoofers paired with four dual 15″ coaxial main speakers. Carefully positioned delay speakers and front fills ensure every seat receives the same high-quality audio experience.
To maintain pristine sound quality, the team installed Prime Acoustic treatment panels throughout the space, achieving a controlled reverb time under two seconds.
The digital audio backbone includes a Behringer Wing console, Powersoft amplifiers, and Dante networking. A complement of Sennheiser wireless microphones with RF Venue distribution provides reliable wireless coverage.
Visual Impact
The visual centerpiece is a 3.5m x 2m LED wall by Altitude, flanked by two short-throw laser projectors. This hybrid approach delivered significant cost savings while maintaining visual impact – the side projectors using Screen Goo paint cost just $4,000 each compared to potential $60,000 for additional LED walls.
Four PTZ cameras capture the service for broadcast, managed through an ATEM Constellation 2 M/E switcher. The BoxCast streaming system ensures reliable online distribution.
Lighting and Control
Pro Church Lights fixtures provide both front wash and back lighting, while manual dimmer controls handle house lighting. A user-friendly wall panel allows quick access to lighting presets.
The production booth features ergonomic standing desks and KVM systems for efficient control. Integration between ProPresenter and Light Key, along with Stream Deck interfaces, makes operation volunteer-friendly.
The entire system prioritizes both quality and usability, creating a space where technology enhances rather than complicates the worship experience. The clean aesthetic and thoughtful integration demonstrate how modern church technology can be both powerful and approachable.
The successful renovation shows how careful planning and strategic choices can help churches leverage technology to serve their communities better, both in-person and online.
